The team behind Dungeon Lords: Fate of Evania has officially acquired PraetoriansGame.com, the former home of the celebrated real-time strategy classic Praetorians, in a continuing effort to honor and revive iconic fantasy and strategy game IPs from the golden age of PC gaming.

Originally released in the early 2000s, Praetorians transported players into the heart of the Roman Empire’s rise, challenging them to command vast armies across the deserts of Egypt, the forests of Gaul, and the fortified heart of Italy. Its gameplay emphasized battlefield tactics over base-building, offering a fresh and cerebral take on the RTS genre. With three distinct armies—Romans, Gauls, and Egyptians—and more than 20 campaign missions, Praetorians earned its place among the era’s most innovative strategy titles.

Now, under the stewardship of J.B. Coleman, creator of the Dungeon Lords novel and multimedia franchise, the domain will live on as part of a broader mission to preserve gaming legacy content while introducing new, lore-rich strategy experiences to the next generation.

Coleman’s approach is part homage, part reinvention. His Dungeon Lords project—a dark fantasy novel and game universe built around tactical conflict, immersive worldbuilding, and legacy fantasy aesthetics—has already garnered attention across media and gaming platforms. The acquisition of PraetoriansGame.com isn’t just a redirect. It’s a statement: the spirit of deep, tactical strategy games still has a place in modern storytelling.

Fans of Praetorians who appreciated its smart unit mechanics, battlefield positioning, and grounded historical context are encouraged to explore Dungeon Lords: The Lost Disciple, now available in paperback, Kindle, and audiobook formats.
